Admission detail of Sargodha Cadet College - 2024:
Admission to class 8 at PAF College Sargodha is based on certain criteria. Sargodha Cadet College admits class 8 students to the flying branch of PAF as per the following conditions:
Eligibility Criteria Age:
The age limit for candidates at PAF College Sargodha is to be above 11.5 years and below 13.5 years as on 1st January next year. No reduction in age limit is allowed at PAF Cadet College Sargodha. Eligibility:
Passed 7th standard at the time of admission (April to the following year). Cambridge system candidates can also apply.
Citizenship:
Candidates must be male citizens of Pakistan or the state of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The selection process will consist of three phases:
Phase I:
Written Exam
Phase II:
Intelligence Test, Preliminary Examination and Interview
Phase III:
Final Examination by Central Medical Board (CMB),
PAF Written Exam Qualified candidates will be required to appear for the following:
Phase-I:
written exams:
- General Science and Mathematics:2 hours (concurrent)
- English and Urdu: 2 hours (concurrent)
All exams will be conducted on the same day at the centres selected by the candidates. No calculators will be permitted in the Mathematics exam. For the convenience of male students taking English and Urdu classes, the Mathematics and General Science exams can be taken in either English or Urdu. Syllabus of the Written Exam:
The syllabus of the written exam is given on the next
page of the prospectus. As this is a competitive test, the syllabus mentioned in the prospectus is only for general guidance to the candidates. Broadly speaking, the questions in the exam papers are based on the general syllabus of the various textbook boards of Pakistan and any exam may be asked in any format.
Written Exam Results:
The results of the written exam will be posted at each PAF Information and Selection Centre and at the main gate of the university approximately one month after the end of the exam. Only those who pass will be notified by mail that they can join the next phase. Click here for updated results:
Phase II:
Intelligence Test Candidates who pass the written exam will have to appear for an intelligence test. This will determine the candidate's IQ. For detailed instructions and preparation, a sample question sheet and answer sheet for the intelligence test are available on the next page.
Note:
There are two main types of intelligence tests: Verbal Intelligence Test and Non-Verbal Intelligence Test. To practice the Verbal Intelligence Test, click here. Preliminary Medical Examination Candidates who pass the intelligence test will be invited for a preliminary medical examination. This examination will be conducted at the PAF's Information and Selection Center and College and will comply with the basic medical standards of the Pakistan Air Force Aviation Division. Candidates should not have deformities of hands, feet, spine or chest. B. Hallux valgus (inward rotation of the toes), flat feet (feet not having normal curvature), genu varum (knees hitting when standing or running), protruding toes, etc. Visual and hearing systems must be in perfect condition. In addition, candidates should not suffer from skin or dental diseases. The height of the aircraft must be between the upper and lower limits specified for the flying branch. There should be no strabismus, refractive errors or color blindness.
IMPORTANT:
Candidates must have 6/6 vision without glasses. Those who wear glasses will not be allowed to apply. The opinion of the PAF Doctor conducting the test is final. No objections in this regard will be entertained.
INTERVIEW:
Candidates who pass the intelligence test and preliminary medical examination will be required to appear for an interview by an interview committee. Candidates will be asked questions on basic topics and general knowledge. The committee will judge the candidate's character, personality traits, comprehension, expression, emotional stability and confidence. Phase III:
Final Medical (CMB):
Final Medical Test (CMB) Candidates selected in the interview will undergo a medical examination at PAF College Sargodha and will be called to Islamabad, Sargodha/Lahore and Karachi for the final medical examination. PAF's Central Medical Board (CMB) will thoroughly examine the candidates as per the requirements of the flying branch.
Selection from Final Merit List
The decision of the CMB is final and no appeal can be made against this decision. Selection from the Final Leaderboard Candidates who meet the requirements of the CMB will be incorporated into the leaderboard for final selection. There are no reserved seats or quota of any kind in this institution. The list of shortlisted candidates will be uploaded on the university website. Call letters with invitation to join will be sent to only successful candidates.
The final selection will be made strictly on performance basis. The results will be treated as confidential and no correspondence/complaints in this regard will be entertained.
