The Urdu Sentence Completion Test is an integral part of the Pakistan International Selection Board (ISSB) examination and is designed to assess the psychological and mental aptitude of candidates aspiring to join the armed forces. In this test, candidates are given a series of incomplete sentences in Urdu which they must complete within a time limit (usually 6 minutes per sentence). Typically, each test contains 26 incomplete sentences, totalling 52 sentences in Urdu and English. The sentences are intended to reveal the candidate's attitudes, personality traits and subconscious thoughts. The key to success in this test is to complete the sentences quickly while ensuring that the answers are positive and reflect desirable traits such as leadership, optimism and responsibility. Candidates are advised to practice extensively and become familiar with the most common sentence structures to achieve good results in this test.
