Admission Requirements of Cadet College Lower Topa:
Applications for admission to PAF Cadet College Lower Topa for grade 8 are accepted annually under the conditions given below:
- The applicant is a student of grade 7 or 8 .
- He has passed the written examination and has been declared fit in the preliminary medical examination .
- He has passed the intelligence test/interview He has passed the Central Medical Board (CMB).

Must be at least 11 years and 6 months but not more than 13 years and 6 months as on 1st January of the following year.
(There are no exceptions to this rule).

- 23rd October 2024 From 22nd July 2024 onwards, candidates will be able to download the Challan Bank Form from the PAF admission website (www.joinpaf.gov.pk) or use the download link provided.
- The Challan Form consists of four parts:
- College Copy:
- Send this to the college's designated address (Murree Hills, PAF College Lower Topa, Induction Cell).
- PAF I & SC Copy:
- Use this to get your prospectus from the PAF Information & Selection Centre (PAF I & SC).
- Candidate Copy:
- Present this while appearing for the exam at the PAF Information & Selection Centre.
- Bank Copy:
- Submit this to your bank. Pay the prospectus/exam fee at any HBL branch using the University Account Number mentioned in the Chalan form.
- To receive the prospectus, submit the original paid copy of challan form (PAF I & SC copy) to the respective PAF I & SC.
- To be eligible to appear for the exam, present the original challan form of the candidate along with the registration slip and other documents to the staff/representative of PAF I & SC on the day of the exam.
The selection process consists of three phases:
Phase I:
Intelligence Test, Academic Test, Preliminary Medical Examination, First Interview.
Phase II :
Final Interview
Phase III :
Final Examination Phase I:
- Intelligence Test, Academic Test, Preliminary Medical Examination, First Interview Eligible candidates will be required to appear for the following tests at the PAF Information and Selection Centre (PAF I & SC):
- Intelligence Test Candidates will first complete an intelligence test consisting of multiple choice questions (MCQs).
- This test is conducted electronically on a computer (E-Test) to determine the candidate's IQ.
- Academic Test Candidates who pass the intelligence test will appear for an academic test.
- The academic test will include MCQs in four subjects: Mathematics, Science, English and Urdu.
- This test is also conducted electronically using a computer.
- Syllabus of the Academic Exam The syllabus of the academic exam is given on the next page of the prospectus.
- As this is a competitive exam, the syllabus in the prospectus acts as a general guide.
- The exam questions are mainly based on the current syllabus of various textbook boards of Pakistan.
- Preliminary Medical Examination Candidates who pass the academic exam will undergo a preliminary medical examination at the PAF Information and Selection Centre.
- This study evaluates the basic medical standards of the flying branch of the Pakistan Air Force.
- Candidates should not have any deformities in hands, feet, spine or chest.
- Visual and hearing systems should be in perfect condition. Candidates should not suffer from any skin or dental diseases.
- The aircraft height should be within the upper and lower limits set for the flying branch.
- There should be no strabismus, visual impairment or color blindness.
Note:
- Candidates must have 6/6 vision without glasses. Those who wear glasses will not be allowed to apply.
- The opinion of the PAF doctor conducting the examination is final and no appeals will be entertained.
- Initial Consultation Those who pass the preliminary medical examination will be invited for a first interview, which will assess the candidate's general personality.
Phase II:
- Final Interview Candidates who successfully complete Phase I will be allowed to appear for the Final Interview.
- In this interview, candidates will be asked about their basic general knowledge and specialized knowledge.
- The committee will assess the candidate's personality, character traits, comprehension, expression, emotional stability and self-confidence.
Phase III:
- Final Examination Candidates selected in the Final Interview will have to appear for the Final Examination at designated centers in Islamabad, Lahore, Sargodha and Karachi.
- The Medical Board will conduct a thorough examination as per the Flying Branch requirements.
- The decision of the Medical Association is final and cannot be appealed.
- Final Selection Candidates who pass the final exam will be included in the top list for final selection.
- Successful candidates will receive a convening notice and instructions on how to participate.
- Final selection will be based solely on merit.
