To become a training officer in the Pakistan Army, candidates must meet certain eligibility criteria and go through a selection process. The general requirements and procedures are as follows: 

 Eligibility Criteria :

1. Nationality:

 Pakistani nationals including residents of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Dual nationals must renounce their foreign citizenship at the time of final selection.

 2. Gender:

Both males and females are welcome to apply. 

3. Marital Status:

 Preference is generally given to unmarried candidates, but married candidates  may also be considered depending on the specific requirements and vacancies. 

4. Age:

 Age limit is usually  18 to 30 years, but may vary depending on the specific job vacancy and educational qualification. 

5. Educational Qualification:

At least 16 years of education (Master's degree) in relevant subjects such as Education, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Islamic Studies, Urdu, Computer Science etc. as mentioned in the job advertisement. Applicants must have a first or second  educational qualification. 

6. Physical Requirements:

 Size Male:

At least 5 feet 4 inches (162.5 cm) 

 Female:

 At least 5 feet (152.4 cm) 

 Weight: 

As per  Body Mass Index (BMI) criteria. 

 Selection Process:

 1. Registration:

Interested candidates must register online through the Pakistan Army official recruitment website or through the Army Selection and Recruitment Centre (AS&RC). 

2. Preliminary Exam Written/Intelligence Test:

 Candidates will be given a written test to assess their academic and intelligence levels. 

Physical Fitness Test:

 This includes running, push-ups, sit-ups and other physical fitness tests.  

3. Initial Medical Examination:

Conducted at AS&RC to ensure that the candidate meets the required medical standards.

 4. ISSB:

 (Inter-Services Selection Board) Test Candidates who pass the preliminary test will be invited to appear for the ISSB test, which includes psychological tests, group tasks, interviews and field activities spanning several days. 

5. Final Medical Examination:

 Candidates who pass the ISSB test will undergo a final detailed medical examination at a designated military hospital. 

6. Final Selection:

 Candidates are selected for training based on their overall performance in the tests, interviews and medical examinations.  Education Selected candidates will undergo training at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) or other designated military training institutes. The length of training  varies but typically includes military training, leadership development and physical fitness training.  

 Commitment to Service  :

 After successfully completing the training, the training officer is required to be commissioned into the Pakistan Army and  serve for a specific period of time, which is determined at the time of appointment.
