To join the Pakistan Army as a soldier, you must meet certain criteria in terms of age, training, physical condition and other qualifications. The general requirements are:

 For General Service: 

17 1/2 to 23 years

 For Company Workers/Chefs/Musicians:

 17 1/2 to 23 years 

For Military Police: 

17 1/2 to 23 years 

For Cleaners/Sanitation Workers:

 17 1/2 to 35 years 

Education For General Service: 

At least high school graduation (10th grade). 

For Company Workers:

 Intermediate (12th grade) or equivalent. Additional skills such as typing may be required. 

For Chefs/Musicians: 

Intermediate (8th grade) or above. 

For Cleaners/Sanitation Workers: 

Primary education. 

 Physical Requirements Size:

 Minimum size requirements may vary: -

 General Duty Soldier: 

5'6" (167.5 cm) 

 Employee/Cook/Musician: 

5'3" (160 cm) 

 Military Police:

 5'8" (173 cm) 

Cleaners/Sanitation Workers: 

160 cm (5'3") 

Chest:

31-33 inches (78-83 cm), depending on the specific requirements of the role.

 Weight:

 Relative to height and age as per Army medical standards.  Other Requirements :

Nationality:

Pakistani nationals are eligible. Nationals of AJK (Azad Jammu & Kashmir) and Gilgit-Baltistan are also eligible for certain roles.  Marital Status: 

Generally, preference is given to unmarried men, but married men may be accepted for some positions. 

 Health Fitness:

Candidates must pass a thorough medical examination and meet the health standards set by the Pakistan Army.  

Background Check: 

Candidates must have no criminal record and pass all background checks. 

 Selection Process: 

1. Registration:

 Candidates must register online or at an Army Selection and Recruitment Center (AS&RC).

 2. First Exam:

 A written test, physical exam and medical examination will be conducted.

 3. Interview:

 Candidates who pass the first exam will be interviewed by a selection committee.

 4. Training:
