To join the Pakistan Army as a soldier, a candidate must meet certain criteria and requirements. This includes educational qualifications, age limit, physical requirements and other necessary characteristics. The most important criteria are: 

 Educational Qualifications :

Matriculation (Grade 10):

Minimum requirement for General Duty (Grade 12) soldiers. 

Intermediate Degree (Grade 12):

 Higher educational qualifications may be an advantage and may be required for certain technical or specialized roles. 

 Age Limits :

General Duty (Grade 2):

 17.5 to 23 years of age. 

Technical Team:

 17.5-23 years old.  

Other Roles:

 Certain roles may have different age requirements, such as: B. 18-25 years old for Company Employees. 

Physical Standards :

Height:

Minimum height for GD Soldiers is typically 5'6" (167.5cm). Different roles may have different size requirements.  

Chest:

Minimum bust measurement  31-33 inches (78-83 cm).

 Marital Status:

 Generally, candidates must be unmarried at the time of enlistment, but this may vary depending on the specific role. 

 Nationality :

Candidates must be Pakistani nationals. Dual nationals must renounce their non-Pakistani nationality. 

 Physical Fitness:

 Candidates must pass a physical fitness test, which typically includes running, push-ups, sit-ups, and other exercises to assess fitness level. 

Medical Examination:

A thorough medical examination is conducted to ensure that candidates are in good health and free of any physical disabilities or chronic diseases. 

 Selection Process :

1. Initial Registration:

 Candidates will need to register at the nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centre (AS&RC) or through the online portal. 

2. Written Examination:

 Subjects like Mathematics, General Knowledge,  Islamic Studies etc will be covered. 

3. Physical Exam:

 Includes running (1 mile in 8 minutes), push ups, sit ups and pull ups. 

4. Medical Examination:

 Conducted by a military doctor.

 5. Interview:
